Born in Istanbul in 1970. After graduating from Kabataş High School, he entered the publishing industry while continuing his education at Yıldız Technical University. After focusing on magazine publishing and cultural books, he shifted his emphasis to children's book publishing and founded Uğurböceği Publishing. He is married and a father of two.
