Born in 1960 in Erzincan. After completing Pertevniyal High School, he graduated with a History degree from Istanbul University. In 1982, he was among the founders of the Timaş Publishing Group. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Timaş Publishing Group. He is married and has three children.
